Core Shelter Phase II is on

Phase II of the Core Shelter Project will start as scheduled in February 2008.

The UI Executive Committee has approved the request by East Coast Irigueños (ECI) for the transfer of funds to their local partner in the Philippines, the National Commission on Indigenous People, to commence new shelter constructions.

About 30 more housing units for the indigenous people of Oyango, Sta. Teresita, Iriga City will be built with the money raised by East Coast Irigueños (ECI) through various fundraisers such as golf tournament, benefit dinner/dance and garage sales.

Shown in the photo below are the proud members of ECI at the evening affair held in Fort Belvior’s Officer Club, Alexandria, Virginia on November 17, 2007 during which PowerPoint presentation of ECI various initiatives was also shown to donors and supporters.
