This New Year, give the Gift of Hope.
The children of Iriga don’t want your charity. They want hope.
This New Year, give the Gift of Hope.

In Iriga City, during the 2007 school year, there were 14,500 elementary students in public schools but less than 7,000 English books.
United Iriguenos, Inc. has launched its “Books for Tots” program. In partnership with professional educators in the Philippines, “Books for Tots” aims to deliver high-quality books to poor and deserving schoolchildren in the rural communities of the Philippines.
A high-quality, brand-new book costs about $2 to acquire, process and deliver into the hands of a poor and deserving child in the Philippines. Think of it this way: it costs less to put a book in a child’s hand than it is to buy a cup of espresso at Starbucks.
During this time of giving, our thoughts and prayers go to the men, women and children in the Philippines who are seeking ways to break out of the cycle of poverty. This program supports the concept of “teaching them how to fish.” We hope that you will join us in our mission to eliminate illiteracy in Iriga, and wherever we find it.
